Mother Jones
Mother Jones (she got her nickname "Mother" because she started to call the miners her "boys") was a very important person involved with labor rights in general. Actually she was so famous that she has a magazine that was named after her. Mother Jones experienced 2 disasters in her life. The first one was when her husband and her 4 children died of yellow fever. After that, she lost all of her belongings in the Great Chicago Fire. After these horrible incidents she decided to be involved with labor rights(including child labor rights), but mostly she was involved with miner's rights. She was involved in several movements, that greatly affected labor rights. She was known to be very inspirational. In fact there was a quote from Mother Jones Magazine which sais "'All over the country she roamed ' Sinclair concluded. 'and where ever she went, the flames of protest rose up in the heart of men, her story was a veritable Odessey of revolt'"
